MEN’S BASKETBALL
The University of Minnesota Moorhead Dragons basketball team returns to Crookston for an epic rematch against our Golden Eagles basketball team! Get ready for a great game on Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Minnesota Crookston, Lysaker Gymnasium. 2900 University Ave., Crookston, MN 56716.
The last game between the Eagles and the Dragons went down in the history books as they set a school record for wins in the NCAA Division II era with the Eagles ahead by 16 points! The final score was 89 to 73 with 11 three-pointers and shots that were 47.9 percent from the field. The last games win was also the first against the Dragons since 2012.
We have an incredibly talented team of men ready for competition. Harrison Cleary being one of our star athletes who alone scored 32 points, six rebounds, six assists on 12-of-25 from the field and 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Of course we can’t forget to mention Alan Hodge, Jr. who scored 18 points on 7-of-16 from the field and 4-of-8 from beyond the arc.
The elder statesman on the roster had 16 points, nine rebounds and five blocks. Those five blocks bumped him up to a total of 100 blocks in a season. Smith leads the entire nation in blocked shots with 3.8 blocked shots per game.
The players mentioned above could not do it without all of the other accomplished players whom make up one stellar team! All of our players lend a huge contribution to our success and are ready to fight! Come support the Eagles and root for another great win!
